OBJECT supersedes ‘product’, redefines ‘artifact’, endeavours to expand the ways in which we view physical ‘things’.

The threshold between that which can be touched, held, acquired and that which we consider core to our own identity grows smaller and smaller. Furniture, sculpture, souvenir — many of these projects seek to blur the lines of medium.

KOMOREBI is a piece intended to bring attention to one’s relationship with their furniture. Sitting low to the ground, with an angular metal “second skin”, the table’s limited functionality forces one to be more intentional and creative when using its surfaces and angles.

An “architectural allegory”, Material Decay: The Impermanence of Man is a sculptural work for USM Modular Furniture’s  HUE+MAN Design Competition, part of their exhibit at DesignMiami 2021.

Recalling the glaciers of Northern Canada, Athabasca is a piece meant to remind one of nature’s beauty, and signify the importance of its preservation. Modular and multifunctional, the fins emulate the melting process so quickly degrading these landscapes.
